the oogiebear story
Confession time: I never planned to start my own business. But with three children, I have parented my way through my fair share of cold and flu seasons. My kids’ discomfort when they were sick was always upsetting, but it was especially hard when they were babies — as a pharmacist, I was surprised how few options I had (like, none!) to provide relief when their noses were blocked with boogers.
Nose breathing is so important to health, and the breathing habits we develop as children often stay with us our entire lives — this was a problem I just had to address. So I invented oogiebear — a revolutionary new product that helps children (and parents!) breathe more easily.
the original booger removal tool. (Removes anxiety, too.)
The original oogiebear is is truly like nothing else. It’s the only infant booger picker on the market that effectively and safely removes sticky and dried boogers from babies’ nostrils. Its patented, award-winning design features a loop end that’s a magnet for sticky boogers and a scoop end that takes care of those dry, crusty ones, plus our trademark bear head, which is way more than just cute: it prevents the tool from going too far into baby’s nose.
we left no stone unturned so you’ll leave no booger unpicked.
When I designed oogiebear, I considered everything. Like materials — oogiebear is made with premium soft rubber that’s easy to grip and comfortable for the person using it. Cleaning your oogiebear is easy, too — just wash it with warm soapy water and let it air dry. Of course, none of this is to say it couldn’t be improved upon…because that’s just what we did with our second-generation booger tool, oogiebear brite, which has an integrated LED light so you can see what you’re doing, especially in the middle of the night. And why should noses have all the fun — oogiebear is perfect for cleaning out earwax, too!
oogiebear is now our flagship product in a family that’s big enough to fill a diaper bag — our balms, teethers, toothbrushes, and other products are all the result of our approach to baby care. We never stop looking for more effective ways to encourage nose breathing and dreaming up better ways to address the issues every new parent faces. To us, “That’s the way we’ve always done it” is a challenge.
